The Center for Self-Determination American Association on Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD)
An organization that promotes policies, research, and human rights for people with I/DD.
An organization that provides services including accessibility resources,employment & training, camping & recreation, transportation, and more.
An organization made up of kids and teens who are self-advocates.
A training resource for individuals who work with people with I/DD.
A resource for parents that helps explain the I/DD community.
An organization that educates, advocates, and provides support services to ensure that individuals with I/DD have a full life.
A global movement that promotes inclusion and community through athletic events.
NC Division of Medical Assistance (DMA)
This division uses Medicaid funding and connections to improve health care for low-income residents of North Carolina.
NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)
DHHS gives health-related funding to groups across the state.
NC Council on Developmental Disabilities
A group of people who decide which groups receive grant money for projects related to advocacy, opportunities, and change. They also provide some funding for I/DD conference expenses.
A program run by the treasury department that allows individuals with I/DD to store money in a savings account while keeping Medicaid, SSI, and other supports.
A program run by the University of North Carolina which creates services that can be used in communities enhance the quality of life for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities (CIDD)
An institute dedicated to providing clinical services to individuals with I/DD. They also have a project that promotes self-advocacy, self-determination, and inclusion.
An organization that provides advocacy and legal services at no charge to people with disabilities throughout North Carolina.
An advocacy organization that provides programs and services to individuals with I/DD.
An organization that helps people with disabilities and their families to believe in their dreams, achieve their goals and give back to others.
An organization that provides leadership, training, technical support and advocacy concerning the benefits of hiring employees with disabilities in North Carolina.
